About the Columban Mission Institute
The Columban Mission Institute incorporates three centres of mission focus. The centres are based on our three focus areas of Regional mission. These are:
- The Centre for Peace, Ecology and Justice
- The Centre for Communion with the Church in China
- The Centre for Christian / Muslim Relations
Members of the Columban Mission Institute are committed to:
- exploring the various dimensions of mission today
- engaging in conversation with other groups involved in mission research.
- making available the results of our experience and research, particularly in the focal areas in this institute's profile.
- Missiology Studies
The Columban Mission Institute library holds some 20,000 books. The special focus of the library is mission studies with good holdings in cultural anthropology, world religions, peace, ecology and Christian feminism.
