CMR - Meeting Notices and Reports
Inter-faith Students visit CMR (April 2006)- The Centre for Christian Muslim Relations hosted a group of 10 young women enrolled at the Signadou Campus of the Australian Catholic University in the Graduate Certificate in Interfaith Relations. This course which is part of the Young Catholic Women’s Interfaith Fellowship established by The Commission of Australian Catholic Women included the young women from Canberra coming up to Sydney to visit various places of worship and attend lectures on the place of interfaith relations within the different faith traditions.
In a packed week, (20-24 March) the women visited St Mary’s Cathedral, the Great Synagogue, the Sydney Jewish Museum, the Ramakrishna Sarada Vedanta Society, the Lakemba Mosque and Baha’i Temple, attended lectures by practitioners of Interfaith Dialogue, coming from the different faiths traditions, and met various interfaith groups in social gatherings.
