Mission Promotion
One of the ways of promoting and informing people about the work of Columban Mission in the local church is through visitation to parishes. We welcome opportunities to speak during Mass and other times about the variety of, and concerns arising from Columban engagement in the world today. Such occasions help link the local parish with the global Church.

Mission Education
Gospel of Life | Way of Peace | Lantern Series
St Columban’s Mission Society sees one of its major roles as helping the local Church become more missionary. In order to achieve this aim, Columban Mission in Australia and New Zealand offers educational services aimed at schools, parish communities and other groups.
The Mission Education Office is located in Melbourne and staffed by Ms Kathryn Boyle, an experienced teacher with an academic background in Education, Scripture and Catholic Social Teaching.
Kath’s work includes:
- Being available as a guest speaker to schools, parishes, groups and organizations on arrange of topics associated with issues of justice, the mission of the Church, Scripture, Catholic social thought, sacramental preparation and the work of the Columbans.
- The preparation of resource materials for use in schools and parishes.
- Working with other groups and organizations involved in mission and justice education within the Church.
