Prayer of Remembrance

Today we remember with thanksgiving those who made the supreme sacrifice for us in time of war. We pray that the offering of their lives may not have been in vain. Today, November 11, we dedicate ourselves to the cause of justice, freedom and peace; and for the wisdom and strength to build a better world.

John 15: 9-14

I love you just as the Father loves me: remain in my love.
If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love,
just as I have obeyed my Father's commands and remain in his love.
I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.
My commandment is this: love one another, just as I love you.
The greatest love you can have for your friends is to give your life for them.
And you are my friends if you do what I command you.

Moment of Silence

Let us pause for a moment of silence on November 11 as we remember God’s promise of peace, and all
Who have served in our armed forces to help bring peace to our world.
