DVD explores the issues of Genetically Modified Food.
Columban Ecologist, Fr Charles Rue, has co-produced a new DVD which draws on interviews with scientists, farmers and campaigners overseas and in Australia. The DVD aims to raise public awareness and promote clarity on the issue of transgenic food. Applying totally new bi-technology processes inherent in recombinant DNA technology poses major threats to food production and consumption, human health, biodiversity, corporate control of the world's staple foods and the privatisation of science and research.
It is hoped that this DVD will lead to informed advocacy by consumers, farmers, legislators, religious leaders and all people of good will.
