Dear Columban Friend,

The theme of the Centenary, Sharing Gospel Joy, is symbolised on a special altar cloth made up of pieces from each of the 16 countries where Columban missionaries have shared the Gospel.

You have made it possible for us to continue our work in those same countries including a recent return to Myanmar and China because of your support, prayers and participation in God’s Mission.

In a recent address, Fr Kevin O’Neill, Superior General said, “The Centenary is an occasion to recall what inspired the early Columban pioneers and what they achieved and to thank you, our benefactors, your families and friends whose sacrifices over one hundred years have made it all possible.”

I ask you to support the Columban Centenary Appeal as we strive with zeal, vision and faith into the future like our founders, Frs Galvin and Blowick, did 100 years ago.

Your support will ensure that Columban Missionaries will continue working with the poor, seeking justice for those denied their rights and spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ.

In a spirit of gratitude we give thanks to you for what has been and for what is mission today.
