Two new women lay missionaries for the Columbans

On the 5th February 2020, Latai Muller (Tonga) and Mereani Nailevu (Fiji) both declared their desire to serve the church as Columban Lay Missionaries. Both of them stated their Lay Missionary commitment and signed their agreement to serve in the Philippines.

Latai belongs Parish of St. Peter and St. Paul, Hihifo and Mereani from Holy Family Parish of Labasa. They also had their sending off mass in their communities of Teresa, the Child of Jesus in Hihifo, and St Joseph community of Koromakawa before coming back to Suva.

These two young women began their accompaniment program in 2016 and 2017 and had to wait till last year when we had the Joint Orientation Program in Suva. Their other two companions are Ling and Sophia of New Zealand.

Latai and Mereani will be leaving in the weekend for the Philippines.
