Words of gratitude

I would like to thank the St Columban’s Mission Society and all your benefactors for your special service in our parish. No one can deny that people from our region became Christian because of the work of Columbans. Especially, in giving us a supportive hand to promote the education system for almost two decades.

Thus, it has resulted in many young people becoming educated. Among them, two became priests and two are studying Theology in St. Joseph's Major Seminary in Yangon. Most of the former students become community leaders such as public servants, catechists (most of the catechists in Myitkyina Diocese are from our Parish), school teachers and boarding masters. These show that how your charitable work is helpful and meaningful.

Fr. John Seng Lat is the Parish priest of Kachyi Htu.

Moreover student numbers have been increasing from last academic year. Boarding students are 370 in this academic year so that I humbly and continually ask for your support for the good of students.
