An invitation was sent to me a day before the actual program which I immediately sent out to my Columban friends/staffs to see if they were able to attend the Kirtan Program at Nasinu Gurudwara Sahib on 18th June 2023.  The beautiful weather permitted me and one of my Sacred Heart Parishioner joined their kirtan (devotional Punjabi language song) sung by their members.

The Punjabi Phrase "Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh" is a Sikh greeting that means the Khalsa (pure) belongs to God (Waheguru) and victory belongs to Waheguru. It’s a way of expressing the Sikh belief in the Ultimate power and victory of God. When two Sikhs meet this is how they greet each other by using the above phrase.

The kirtans songs had lots of meaning about creating peace within and among and serving people of all religions.

The program concluded with lunch around 2.00pm.
