“Be not afraid! I am with you always. Yes, until the end of time.”
Their hopes had been dashed; You had been crucified, then buried. The women were afraid, and when they found the tomb empty they were more afraid still. But suddenly you were there with them and said, “Be not afraid!”
And their hearts were filled with joy, and their fears dispersed. Lord, let me seek you without fear, with that trust in you, that takes our fears away. Let me know your living presence, that you are risen and have overcome all things, even death itself.
Help me to turn to you with confidence, to share the joy of the disciples, knowing you are with us always,
to the very end of time.
Amen.
