The Grace of love for Earth’s Poor
The providence of God gives earth its seasons.
The equinox sun sets glory over the equator
radiates tempering flowers south and colours north
inspiring poets and musicians to celebrate.
The balance shown in earth’s seasons
has the Spirit at work with law makers
providing opportunities in bush, town and city
heading the twin cry of earth and the poor.
Jesus praised the unjust steward.
His followers are astute as the merchants of destruction
enacting laws to curb tax evasion and patenting abuses
caring for the marginalised and not just their own.
The creative power of God never rests
freeing us from slavery to money
inspiring honest business, work and care for earth
to bring happiness and fulfilment to all creation.
Creator God, we pray for courage to care for earth’s poor.
