In this Centenary Reflection video, Columban Vicar General Fr Arturo Aguilar SSC shares his joy of participating in Centenary celebrations in many parts of the world and invites every one to join us in mission.
As Vicar General, he had the opportunity to visit many of our missions throughout the world. He was very happy to witness that many people have been very engaged in celebrating with us the Centenary. Over a hundred years, many Columbans and faithful people and supporters and benefactors have been celebrating with us in many ways.
This is a key time for us in the Society where we acknowledge all the good people who have served with the society in service of God's people on mission. And we thank them for it. And we remember them. Especially, those brave people who became martyrs in the service of God's kingdom. But this is also an opportunity for us to see how this 100 years can inspire us and impel us to continue the good work of mission for God throughout the world.
So we invite and pray for those who may be considering a missionary vocation with the Columbans or to perhaps to have a missionary experience with us in some of the countries where we work.
