Theme for Season of Creation 2025 - "Peace with Creation". Isaiah 32:14–18
Imagine a world where barren lands bloom into vibrant green and peace reigns not only among people but with all creation - this is the vision at the heart of the Season of Creation 2025. Inspired by Isaiah’s words, “The effect of righteousness will be peace, and the result of righteousness, quietness, and trust forever. My people will abide in a peaceful habitation” (Isaiah 32:14–18), this year’s theme, Peace with Creation, reminds us that true shalom is wholeness: right relationships with God, with one another, and with the Earth itself. Today, many areas still suffer from war, pollution, and injustice, with communities struggling under the weight of climate change. Isaiah reminds us that peace is attainable through justice and reconciliation, while Pope Francis urges us to leave a habitable planet for future generations. Across the globe, churches, families, and youth are answering this call by praying, advocating, and restoring nature. As we commemorate the 1700th anniversary of the Nicene Creed, our faith unites us in witnessing God’s promise of peace. During this Season of Creation, let's pray, act, and teach the next generation to cherish our common home, transforming barren lands into thriving spaces for all to live in peace.
