A friendship between father and son
Remarkably Martin Sheen has never given up on Charlie and openly and courageously acknowledges his son's addiction and self-destructive life-style yet stands by him. (more)
The stepping horse
On occasion "the stepping horse" has been suggested as a symbol for us as missionaries. We are meant to cross ‘deserts’ too but it's easy to flounder powerless, in the unknown terrain of another culture. (more)
The root of all evil
Modern liberal capitalism needs to be closely monitored. It is not the sole way of preserving private property rights and has in fact destroyed them in many cases. (more)
Reflection - Walk in the light
Anyone who has been cut off from light or, like those miners, trapped in a dark place, will know the deep hunger that rises within for this most taken-for-granted gift. (more)
