Mission Appeals

2020 Columban Christmas Appeal

"We are all in the same boat.
It is time for all of us to row together"
Pope Francis

The pandemic has caused devastation in countries where Columbans work. Recently we received an update from Columban Fr Dan Harding, parish priest of St Columbans in Santiago, Chile on how your support can make a difference to those struggling in the parish.

In the last few months, the parish set up a ‘Migrant House’ for homeless and unemployed migrants who are now working hard to become self-sufficient by setting up a bakery.

The people from the ‘Migrant House’ and many others like them need your support to seize the opportunity to once again re-connect with society with a new-found dignity and independence.

I ask you to support the Christmas Appeal that fulfils the Gospel message - For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in. Matt 35:36
