Columban Christmas Appeal
"The poor can be witnesses to
a strong and steadfast hope."
Pope Leo XIV
At Christmas, we remember the humble birth of Jesus in Bethlehem—a child who brought light, peace, and hope into our world. For over 100 years, Columban missionaries have followed His example, walking with communities where hope is most needed.
This year, I write to you with gratitude for your faithful support and with a heartfelt invitation to join us once again in our mission across the fifteen countries where we serve.
Through your generosity, Columbans are:
- Celebrating the Eucharist and other sacraments with Christian communities on the margins of society.
- Supporting families displaced by war and natural disasters.
- Providing education and opportunities for children who would otherwise be left behind.
- Caring for the earth through ecological projects that restore creation.
- Standing in solidarity with those who are poor, marginalised, or without a voice.
At Christmas, we celebrate God’s greatest gift - His Son. I invite you to share this spirit of giving by making a special Christmas donation.
Your gift, no matter the size, will bring practical help and hope to people in need across the world. I ask you to use the options below to support the Columban Mission Appeal.
May the joy and peace of Christ fill your heart and home this Christmas. Thank you for being part of our Columban family.
With blessings,
