Columban Christmas Appeal
"The poor can be witnesses to
a strong and steadfast hope."
Pope Leo XIV
Around our planet, many people were unable to celebrate Christmas and New Year’s as they have in years past. Why? Because they have been struck by natural disasters. These disasters are becoming more frequent and more severe due to changes in our climate, caused in large part by human choices and actions.
For us Columban missionaries, this means standing beside families striving to recover from the devastation of hurricanes, tornadoes, and floods, especially in Pakistan, the Philippines, Myanmar and Fiji. Many of these communities show extraordinary resilience. They rebuild their homes using local materials. They endure long months with very little while waiting for their crops to return. Yet, in this moment, they are reaching out for our help.
So once again, we appeal to you. You—our supporters, friends, and donors—make it possible for us to live out our missionary calling. With your generosity, we can continue to accompany and support those who are in desperate need around the world. I ask you to use the options below to support the Columban Mission Appeal.
May this New Year 2026 bring you and your loved ones good health, peace, and happiness.
With blessings,
