Columban E-Connections
Connecting Peace, Ecology and Justice from the Gospel Perspective

This Month

“I hate war as only a soldier who has lived it can, only as one who has seen its brutality, its stupidity…..” General Dwight D Eisenhower.

"I don’t believe war should be the soul of the nation" - the Late Malcolm Fraser, Nov 10, 2014.

At the time of the Centenary of ANZAC, we remember and pray for those who suffered and died in that dreadful war, including from my own family. We must not make the shrines to them into a new religious cult that hides the horrors of war. This month we feature those who are trying to live the way of Jesus, the way of peace that responds to violence with non-violence, not retribution.
