One of the tools we use when we are running workshops on connecting peace, ecology and justice is a structural analysis tool begun in the 1980s which is as relevant today as it ever was. It is called the Waves and Rocks model. Who are those in our society who are on the rocks in the boat and sinking? Why are they there? Who has the power to change the situation? What action needs to be taken to bring about this change? These are questions we should ask wherever people and the earth are suffering from unjust structures. (read more)

The Columban PEJ Centre has two new people engaged in our work: Liesje Barratt who joins us as Assistant Faith Ecology Network and Publications Officer for two days a week, and Gloria Gray who is volunteering her time to assist with the database for Enhance, the New South Wales Catholic Sustainable Schools Network Newsletter.
