The Way of Peace is suitable for schools, parishes, youth groups, religious congregations, peace, social justice and community groups.
As violence and warfare continue to plague so many parts of the world today, The Way of Peace aims to provide stimulus for you to think and be creative and active in responding to the Christian call toward peacemaking in the footsteps of the nonviolent Jesus.
The Way of Peace resource has been developed and produced by the Columban Mission Institute’s Centre for Peace, Ecology and Justice.
A previous edition of The Way of Peace includes a set of 8 discussion and action sheets based on developing a Culture of Peace and Non-Violence. This edition is suitable for secondary school and adult use and was developed at the time of the invasion of Iraq, in conjunction with the UN Decade for a Culture of Peace and Nonviolence for the Children of the World 2000-2010.
