In the region of Fiji we are a group of Columban Fathers and Lay Missionaries (originating from Fiji and the Phiippines) and one Burmese priest who has generously offered 6-years of mission work with Columban Missionaries. We also host three seminarians from Fiji, Rotuma and Rabi.
Columbans in Fiji are involved in the following ministries:
- Parish Ministry (Parishes of Ba, Raiwaqa and Labasa).
- Formation Programs for Priesthood and Lay Mission.
- Promotion of Mission in the local church.
- Promotion of Vocations to the Columban Priesthood, Lay Missionary life and Youth Ministry.
- Working for Justice, Peace & the Integrity of Creation (JPIC) with the diocese and civic society groups.
- Archdiocesan Office for translating the Bible and liturgical texts into Fijian (Vosa).
- Hospital Ministry and Outreach to the Korean and Rabi-Kiribati linguistic groups.
- Members of Pacific Regional Seminary (PRS).
