On 21-22 February, Columban Fr Patrick McInerney presented on “Interreligious Dialogue” and “Islam & Christian-Muslim Relations” at the Holy Spirit Seminary, Parramatta. 14 seminarians attended. He used this opportunity to sow the seeds of interfaith for these future priests of western Sydney. There were some good exchanges as he presented church teaching and challenged them to engage in interfaith as an integral part of their responsibility in the church’s mission. On the first day, Mrs Venus Khalessi-Rad presented her Baha’i faith and approach to interfaith relations. On the second day, Sheikh Wesam Charkawi presented an Islamic approach.
