Lord,
So much of our day is taken up with work, and it’s good to know that you look with love upon us in our work, and the sense of purpose and fulfilment it gives.
You talked of a woman cleaning her house, of a builder, a farmer, a doctor, a labourer. Yes, Lord, all our endeavours are pleasing to you, our desire to better our lives and our world.
And you had your own particular work to do, to share your love with all in the world.
For this work done so lovingly for us, the hardest job of all, I thank you, Lord.
