I recently heard a Jewish commentator describe the self-righteous as those who always see the bad in others and the righteous as those who always see the good. Self-righteous people always judge others harshly. (more)

Thank God for the Sisters
One lady asked us if we were fasting because it is Ramadan, the Muslim fasting season but we said 'no, we are Christians' and immediately she wanted to make tea for us. Such hospitality! (more)
A laughing matter
You could almost see the mood of the group changing over the weeks. Our elderly people told me that they really feel much better and certainly many of those who were depressed are much more cheerful now. (more)
Reflection - The similarities of Mary
The Gospel shows her to be a woman of faith, a caring woman, a woman unafraid to take risks, a woman strong in love, courageous in suffering. (more)
