This month - September 2016
New life is blossoming in the Australian bush. Reflecting on the cycles of life - new life after the dormant period of the winter of the southern parts of our country, leads me to think about the question of new life emerging after the deaths resulting from the violence that abounds in so many places. Culturally and religiously the younger son had violated just about every standard in this shame/honour system – asking for his inheritance now was tantamount to telling his father to "drop dead". (read more)
