God of the Elements
By Dayley

Holy God of wind.
A wisp of breeze.
A horrible thunderstorm.
Violent blowing hurricane.
Holy God of earth.
Dangling,tangling,grasping vines.
Erupting volcanoes spilling lava viciously below.
Sliding penguins and dancing icicles.
Northern lights fill the cool air.
Holy God of water.
Crashing waves, strong currents pulling seaweed under.
Billabongs carry minerals along the banks.
Waterholes give life to the creatures surrounding it.
Raindrops, flowing streams, gushing rivers.
Holy God of fire.
Giving life through destruction.
Burning, embers glowing, ashes.
The fire's strife gives plants new life.
Fire, earth, wind and water is God's way of replenishing the earth and all his children. We must care
for this wonderous earth.

My Favourite Place In Nature
By Zyla

I wake up to my favourite place in nature,
Where it’s as silent as a mouse,
In my my little cubby tent,
Right outside my house.
I go in there to write down things that I think,
Like being in a forest full of God’s creation or skating on an ice skating rink,
I’ve always dreamt to skate on the cold, lovely, ice,
I think it would amazing to do,
Or just really nice,
I couldn’t think of a more perfect way,
Than to respect God's creation in the brightness of day,
With waves crashing,
And water and fish splashing,
Leaves rustling and birds chirping,
Possums crawling and foxes lurking,
Toucans eat with their colourful beak,
And monkeys climb to the tallest trees peak,
God’s beauty is in every living thing.

Dadirri
By Gemma

Dadirri, what do you hear?
A drongo mimicking our small whispers.
Trees swiftly swaying through the air.
A forest, mixed with the dry land.
A kangaroo with a joey in its pouch.
Strong winds FURIOUSLY knocking leaves off the old mango tree.
The sun, God's Flame, shining on our faces.
Give thanks to God's creation.

The song birds are singing, the joeys are low.
Me and you sitting out here as the wind blows.
Leaves rustling in the tree right above me,
as before my eyes I see flies and bees.
Take deep breaths in and out.
Close your eyes and listen to that sound.
The sound of faint talking.
The rustle of walking.
The dewy ground meets my feet.
Rocks lie on the ground waiting for me.
Under the mango tree,
where all the fruit bats have their morning tea.
My favourite part of the school, where we sit,
Peaceful prayers, the candle’s lit.
This is God's Flame. This is God's creation.

The Secrets of Dadirri
By Benji

As I stepped outside entering the beginning of a new week the little colourful birds greeted me with a
quiet soft song while the sun was rising.
I could feel the beat of the lowenly Rifle bird dancing while its chest was pumping up and down
anxiously.
The sweet breeze was cooling my body as the wind was softly running throughout my hair.
The leaves were crackling like the heart of a fire while the branches were snapping quietly.
The flowers were blooming and the mangos were growing in the picturestic sun.
I felt at home in the peace of the yarning circle while the chime was ringing.
The sand was crackling under my feet while the rocks skipped across the water.
I heard the wallaby bouncing through the grass that with the wind was swaying like a boat on the
water in the morning swell.
I look up. I look down.
I am in love with God's creation.

I hear the trees rustling in the wind,
The birds chirp and sing for me,
The morning sun shines brightly,
as the clouds move with the wind.
The bell rang for all the kids to go in.
The blooming flower.
The tall cold grass moving gently in the wind.
People moving and rustling on the rocks.
A kangaroo jumps, while a joey plays,
The leaves are falling, the bees getting pollen.
Breathing all the bad energy out and all the good energy in.
I breathe in the fresh air giving thanks to God's creation.

I felt the wind breezing past and streaming through my soft hair.
A bird chirping a song to my ears relaxes me as I sit on a pointy rock in the yarning circle.
I was staring into the abyss, looking at joeys and a slow falling twig.
A branch gracefully down on the lunch table. I heard a cling in the distance, a
mango falling fresh off the tree, ripe and beautiful.
The soft morning sun glowing brightly like a star at midnight.
Love God's creation and one another.

Everything Aussie
by Kahlia

I wake up to the smell of Vegemite toast meeting my nose. I stand outside drinking hot milo, watching
the dogs waking up to the sunlight rising above the horizon. I listen to the birds sing and feel the
breeze on my face. I see a kangaroo bounding across the outback’s red rocky ground, its joey in its
pouch looking around at the outside world. Now, that’s everything Aussie.

Fishing
By Lindsay

I see the waves colliding with the boat as it splashes onto me. With my rod I pull the monster
barramundi in. It flies off the hook and splashes back in the water. I sigh. The coca cola gets
to my mouth, "So tasty" I say. As we go to the boat ramp we catch another barramundi and
this time get him to the boat. Fish for dinner.

My favourite place in nature
By Charlotte

As I come back from this wonderful day,
I go to the campsite and there I play.
As it gets colder and the breeze is stronger,
I run to the fireplace where it's warmer.
Roasting marshmallows, in my mouth
they taste so good, but then I shout,
we go to our tents and I always pray,
Thank you God for this wonderful day!

I go for a visit in Kiribati,
I cannot wait to go to the beach,
We go in the truck while me and my cousins wait patiently,
We wait in the back ready to go,
We start the car and go very far,
The wind blows and shakes the trees,
My long wavy hair goes everywhere,
We arrive at the beach, its so beautiful
The sparkling, blue, glossy water.
The tall coconut trees,
The cool sea breeze,
My cousins run to the ocean ready to dive,
while I sit on the warm sand looking at the sky,
I find colourful birds so fascinating,
So many colors and so many types,
I look to the sky while my baby cousin flies a kite
My family invites me to swim in the sea,
I couldn't resist - I run and jump feeling the cold breeze,
I open my eyes I look and see
So many fishes surrounding me
I see God's creation all around me
I love Kiribati

Camping
By Lillian

I wake up to the clear top of my tent. I am greeted by the birds' winter melodies, the faint crackle of the
fire and the splash of crab pots meeting the water. I slowly stand up and drag my feet out of the tent. The
bright early morning sun almost blinds me.Hot chocolate warms my lips instantly and the melted
marshmallows give me energy. I'm warm, energised and officially ready for my day.
